Apple Ipod Nano Warranty?
I was corresponding with an ebay seller of a blue 4GB Nano Ipod. I asked wether the sale would come with a 1 year warranty. I was told that there is actually NO warranty certification, even if I go to a retail store in the mall. What is important is that I register the serial number online, then if the purchase is deemed to be authentic, the item is then covered for a year. How true or untrue is this? Isn't it that the day you buy the product, the waranty starts counting? So, the receipt or invoice does not warrant any sort of guarantee? Only when we register it online?
The guy is trying to cheat you. Trust me the warranty starts from the day the ipod leaves the shelf. I know because i've bought 3 different ipods now (1st gen., video, nano). So I dont think you should buy it, but if u want to check how long the warranty is still good for then all you need to do is go to www.apple.com and enter the ipod code that is lasered in at the back of the ipod, and it will show you how many days you have left before the ipod's warranty is up (you can do this without any registration.)
