How to make a homemade song sound clearer? With the audacity?
I made a song with a not-so-good of a microphone, and in the song, when I listen back, I hear a lot of buzz and some of the higher notes aren't hearable . Do I only add the normalize effect, or could something else work in this matter? I only know a bit, on how to use the audacity, so I don't want to install any other software.
Rule of thumb in recording: You can't make something that sounds bad sound good. You can equalize it and compress it and filter it and add reverb to it, but if it sounds bad to start with you can't make it sound good. You want to aim for something that sounds good without having to do anything to it. Try again with the best microphone you can find and take it from there.
