Enhancers Apple

Vista Education?

Does anyone agree with me that it would be a smart move on Microsoft's part to come out with a special version of Vista, just for education? It would be designed just for schools, and be able to deflect viruses much better, have special productivity enhancers, make it easier to network and setup accounts, and the like (schools use Macs because of the virus thing, mostly) unlike other operating systems out there (with the exception of edubuntu). Microsoft could then team up with like Lenovo or Dell, who would make specially designed computers for schools, with Vista Education on them. I think this would help take away this part of the market from Apple. Any thoughts?

Yes, Vista does have many bugs, which is why I still stick with XP. Okay, then, how about this: Design a specific OS based on Windows and compatible with Windows programs and files, but is still not Windows, thus making it less of a target for viruses/spyware.

they need to make fix the bugs in Vista before they start working on a New OS
Besides they're already working on windows 7, which is supposed to come out in 2010
And no windows OS will ever be able to deflect viruses
windows is so popular that people will always be making new viruses for it

I guess it would be a good idea. It'd probably be better if it was based on xp instead of vista

And you can run windows programs with linux and wine, so edubuntu would be good for schools

I wish schools would install linux, there is what like 10 viruses that exist for linux and you have to be logged on as root (administrator) to even get them.
they'd save a lot of money that way

I recently installed Damn Small Linux on my school's computer. they got all mad and put xp back on
