Any company in the UK must, by law, be registered with Companies Hose. You can check their website at www.companieshouse.gov.uk. I checked the name Apple Acre Limited on the Companies House website and it is registered, so there is a company by that name that is operating perfectly legally in the UK. However, 070 or 4470 numbers are used as a personal numbering system that enables the user to divert calls made to them to anywhere in the world. These numbers are generally not used by legitimate companies, so it sounds like it's possible that someone is using Apple Acre's name to scam you. For more information on the use of 070 numbers, go to www.ofcom.gov.uk that's the official website of OFCOM, the governing body for all internet and telecommunications companies in the UK. You can check the legitimate telephone number of Apple Acre either through your countrys international directory assistance, or through one any of these websites www.whitepages.co.uk; www.yell.com or www.192.com.
Personally, I would be inclined to think it's a scam.
