Will Skullcandy Asym headphones with mic work with 32gb 3rd gen iPod Touch?
I personally prefer Skullcandy over Apple headphones and was curious if the Asym headphones with the mic and volume control would work with the voice control offered on the new iPod Touch. I don't have my touch yet but from what I've read in order to activate this feature, you'll need to press and hold the headphone remote control button until the Voice Control screen appears. If that's true is it possible to activate voice control using the Asym headphones?
they will work as headphones buyt teh mic function wont work with iphones as it lacks the proper chip inside (or at least it does on the early versions) neither does this work with teh ipod shuffle for same reason but oddly its OK with ipod touch for audio input on apps...
seems the system calls wont recognise the buttons or the mics but look out for ones with 'iphone compatible/shuffle compatible ' as apparentley they ARE bringing out a compatible one
