should I get a solid-state hard drive or a hybrid hard drive?
I am looking for a new hardrive and I have seen a bunch of harddrives well I looked at one called Solid-state....it is like RAM because it uses IC and it goes alot faster and it is really small....but there is also another hard drive called a hybrid hard drive and it is pretty nice also....it still uses the silicon disks like on all the other computers but there is also ICs on the hard drive it self it uses both of them together.....they are both pretty pricy....or should I stick with the old silicon disk hard drive? PLEASE HELP!!!

What are some of the reasons for getting the new HD? Is it for more space? More Speed? If you are simply looking for more space, a normal HD is the best choice as you will get the most space for your money. SSD or Solid-State Disc is just flash memory on steroids. It's the exact same technology that is used for your 2GB memory stick just bigger. SSD are similar in size to a 2.5" Note Book HD and can be found as big as 128GB, which is nothing compared to a 1TB traditional HD and the SSD will cost you as much as ten times more money for an equal amount of space compared to a regular HD. SSD are nice for laptops since they use less power since they have no moving parts and are not prone to shock damage from dropping your computer or from it being moved around a lot. For a desktop a SSD is really just not worth the money and they are totally useless if are looking for a lot of storage space.
