Would it be ok if i used a solid head on the batter side and a clear one on the resonant side of my bass drum?
I am going to be purchasing some replacement parts for my drumset unfortunately i am on a budget so i can only get a replacement for one side of my bass drum. The head that i was thinking about getting to replace the batter side is solid but the resonant side that i am not replacing on my drumset is clear. Will this affect the sound in a negative way? Since you are not replacing the resonate head, the change in sound depends on the make up of the old batter head. It looks like the new one is a very good head and you should be pleased with the sound overall.
