Hello,Ive got a Panasonic Viera 42" telly and i was wondering if you can get a surround sound system for it
I know you can get many home cinema systems to plug in but do these do surround sound on the normal television viewing or does the surround effect only work when watching a dvd? basically i want the surround on my normal viewing, my telly has got virtual surround sound but i personally dont think its that good and cant really make it out (although the sound is excellent) coz its only out of the front speaker on the set and dont sound like its all around the room. Can you get any surround multiple speaker systems for nomal telly watching? cheers.

I also have a Panasonic Veira unit and mine has the digital optical output. Whenever there is HD programming with surround sound, I am able to output the digtial optical signal to my surround sound system and get 5.1 surround sound. So all you would need is a surround sound system with digital optical input ( also called TOSLINK ) and you can hear real surround sound from you set.
