Why is my red tail black shark's head white like a skull?
I did a little reorganizing with new decorations,old and after 30 mins i come back to check on them and I notice the rtbs's head is white as if it a skull. I'm really worried about him. I'm thinking its from stress?
This has nothing to do with ammonia levels-- if the water quality was poor, the entire fish would be faded from stress, not just its head. As Danielle mentioned, it is definitely not an infection, as this would take days to reach such a severe level, not minutes... I instead suspect that it was injured at some point during the reorganization, whether a decoration hit it, or it was in escape mode, and it bashed into a decoration. Just leave the lights out so it can relax (you should see the entire body fade a bit, and it will retreat to a cave), and let it be. If you see any issues with it in the next couple days, like infection, begin medicating appropirately.
